What happened to Maxim Iglinskiy? Is he OK?
Whats wrong?
He dropped out of the Tour de Suisse in Stage 8. I was concerned that he was injured, or stopped to prepare for the Tour?
I guess he’s fine , coz he’s joined Vino and the rest of the guys of Astana at Celilia training camp.
* I meant Cecilia, my bad 😉
Thank you Konfronto. I see he is on Vino’s pictures from Sicily. Yes he does look well 😉
I hope that this means that he is in the team for the tour?
You are welcome, Lexi! Alas, we don’t know yet for sure whether or not he is in the squad for the Tour. Personally, I do reckon that the management of the team should think about his presence within the TDF team very carefully. I do remember Vino’s statement about Max’s capabilities, where he indicates that Max is a great rider for short races, no more than 10 days I guess. So I doubt, would it be prudent to put him into the Tour team if he’s not as good at Grand Tours as he is good at Classics. Nevertheless, I believe in Martinelli’s expertise and perhaps Max’s role has been defined already. All in all, I would love to see him at the Tour and I would be more satisfied if he’ll show something up there!
