Чемпионат мира: «серебро» Михаила Игнатьева

Михаил Игнатьев завоевал серебряную медаль на дистанции раздельного старта в группе спортсменов не старше 23 лет на проходящем в Штутгарте чемпионате мира по велоспорту на шоссе. Двукратный чемпион мира среди юниоров, обладатель«золота» 2005-го года и «серебра» 2006-го в следующей возрастной категории по праву считался главным фаворитом сегодняшних состязаний.На первой временной отсечке Михаил был лидером, но в итоге уступил менее 10 секунд голландцу Ларсу Бому, уже успевшему в этом году завоевать радужную майку в совершенно другой дисциплине –вело кроссе. Не исключено, что специфика штутгартской трассы –технически сложной, с множеством повторов, и потому удобной для голландского спортсмена –оказалась решающим фактором при распределении мест.
Михаил Игнатьев поделился своими впечатлениями сразу после финиша:
«Сказать, что это выступление было удачным, я, конечно, не могу, потому что всегда рассчитываю на победу. Но дело в том, что я уже месяц выступаю с травмой – потянул мышцу ноги. Пришлось снизить нагрузки,тренироваться гораздо меньше, а стартовать только для того, чтобы поддерживать форму. Учитывая все это, назвал бы итог сегодняшней гонки для себя нормальным.
Был еще один минус. Когда я догнал стартовавшего за минуту передо мной итальянца, он уцепился за мной, потом стал пытаться обогнать – в общем, мешал почти до самого финиша. Это, конечно, сбивало – особенно на трудных подъемах.
В целом сезон получился неплохой. В следующем главным стартом станут Олимпийские игры, и я буду нацелен на подготовку к ним. Основные шансы,конечно, на треке. Если буду очень хорошо готов, можно было бы попробовать выступить и в шоссейной «разделке» - но не знаю, насколько это будет реально.»Race 1 - September 26: Under 23 men's time trial - 2 laps, 38.1km
